Alia, Sonakshi, Rishi come out in support of Palak

Kiku Sharda, who is famous for his Palak act on Comedy Nights With Kapil, was arrested for hurting religious sentiments by mimicking the self-proclaimed Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at an event. A part of the act showed the comedian filling his pockets with the money given by his bhakts. While it was all in good humour, followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh lodged a complaint against him. Now, Bollywood stars have taken to Twitter to express their incredulity over the episode.
Rishi Kapoor openly challenged Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to put him behind bars.
Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt too were as vocal about their displeasure.
Mrs. Funnybones aka Twinkle Khanna had her typical sardonic take on the subject.
Several other stars, including Farah Khan, Kapil Sharma, Anurag Kashyap and Sonu Sood took to Twitter.
While Kiku has been released on a bail bond of Rs. 1 lakh, Gurmeet Ram Rahim has claimed that he has no ‘complaints’ against Kiku since he has rendered an apology.
